Guernsey County Busted Mugshots is a private reference, not a government office. It cannot confirm custody, release a person, post bond, or pull an official booking record. Use the responsible public office below for those services and for the most current information.
Official Guernsey County Contacts
The office that created or maintains a record is the proper place to request it. The sheriff handles county jail custody and sheriff records, the clerk maintains Common Pleas records, and Cambridge Municipal Court maintains its own municipal case records. Their services, fees, record availability, and response times can differ.
Sheriff and Guernsey County Jail
Guernsey County Sheriff's Office
601 Southgate Parkway
Cambridge, OH 43725
Dispatch: 740-439-4455
Jail: 740-432-2955
Civil clerk: 740-432-3730
Fax: 740-432-3916

The sheriff's contact form includes a public-record-request category. The jail line is a current-contact route, not proof that a person is in custody.
County booking and sheriff records
Use this official portal for a documented request for a booking sheet, photograph if releasable, release or transfer record, or retention information. Describe the date range, person or incident if known, originating agency, and exact record requested. No published sheriff fee for a booking photo or fixed photo-response time was located, so ask the custodian for current terms.
Common Pleas public records
Guernsey County Clerk of Courts
801 Wheeling Avenue D200
Cambridge, OH 43725
740-432-9230
Weekdays: 8:30 a.m. to noon and 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.
Email: clerkrequests@guernseycounty.org
The clerk's office handles Common Pleas General Division records. Its public-record request process does not replace a sheriff booking-record request or a municipal court inquiry.
Cambridge Municipal Court
Cambridge Municipal Court
150 Highland Avenue Suite 1
Cambridge, OH 43725
740-439-5585
Weekdays: 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Municipal Court is the city-level case and disposition route. It is not the custodian for every county booking record or Common Pleas case.
Use the record type to choose the route. A current-custody question, an older sheriff booking, a city police report, a municipal case, and a felony case may all have different custodians.
- For someone who may currently be in the Guernsey County Jail, begin with the sheriff's official inmate-list route or the jail contact line.
- For a dated county booking record or a photograph if releasable, send a focused request through Sheriff NextRequest.
- For a Cambridge incident or arrest report, ask Cambridge Police for the city-held record, while avoiding assumptions that it holds the jail booking sheet.
- For a municipal criminal or traffic case after an arrest, use Cambridge Municipal Court and its public case-search route.
- For a Guernsey County felony or Common Pleas matter, use the Clerk of Courts and its records process.
- For state prison, supervision, or release information, use the Ohio Department of Rehabilitation and Correction offender search, not the county jail roster.
- For federal or immigration custody, use the appropriate Bureau of Prisons locator or ICE detainee locator, each of which has a separate scope and search rule.
